Our client was updating their exterior I.D signs to a LED configuration and at the same time painting the signs, a great deal or was it? While the contractor contracted to paint the signs for a small fee after LED installation they didn’t have professional painting experience to understand the specific needs for this type of application. While the signs were painted a bright Red color and looked good, they quickly faded to a pink within a few months. National Coating Solutions was called to determine the cause for the fading paint and it was evident pretty quickly that the sign contractor used some generic oil based red paint. They took the cheap way out when they realized painting the signs was more work than they bargained for. The solution was to repaint all of the I.D. signs so that they have a long lasting finish that will not begin to fade for years to come. Our client realized that painting projects should be left to the experts and that there are other factors to consider than the cheapest price.
